Your Role as a Village Coordinator

As a Village Coordinator, you’ll play a vital leadership role in ensuring the success of our Village program. You’ll support teachers, partner with families, and help maintain a structured, engaging, and compliant learning environment. You’ll also step in as a leader when needed and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of the Village program

  • Supervise, coach, and support Village teaching staff

  • Assume Director responsibilities in their absence

  • Maintain a consistent, engaging daily schedule

  • Support Get Well Place (GWP) operations

Enrollment & Family Experience

  • Support enrollment goals and participate in tours and marketing efforts

  • Welcome and onboard new families with strong communication

  • Build positive, proactive relationships with parents

  • Ensure a warm and inviting first impression for all visitors

Programming & Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with NC Licensing, health, safety, and accreditation standards

  • Participate in strategic planning and monthly QA meetings

  • Conduct classroom observations and ensure accountability standards are met

  • Complete fire drills and maintain emergency preparedness requirements

  • Support inclusive practices for children of all abilities

Staff & Team Support

  • Develop and manage staff schedules, including summer planning

  • Oversee attendance, time-off requests, and call-outs

  • Assist with staff meetings, coaching, and training

  • Address staff concerns and ensure compliance with school policies

Administrative Support

  • Maintain student files and required documentation

  • Support billing coordination and ProCare system updates

  • Manage accountability notebooks and reporting requirements

  • Assist with newsletters and school-wide events

Budget & Professional Growth

  • Operate within established budget guidelines

  • Complete 30 hours of annual professional development

  • Stay engaged in professional organizations and best practices

Qualifications

  • A genuine love for children and the ability to connect with families and staff

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
    (or equivalent credentials such as CDA, Associate’s degree, or relevant coursework)

  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience with young children

  • At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience

  • Experience in a NAEYC-accredited program (preferred)

  • CPR, First Aid, and ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset

  • Flexibility to work between 6:15 AM – 6:45 PM

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and engaging with children

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
